Finally

1. Long time no blog
You seeeeeeeee, the price of education is high. :/

2. This draft has been around for about 4 months and not yet published.

I've been very busy in the past few weeks, or say, one month. I haven't been blogging since 3 March instead!

Basically, school work (academically) is really piling up and speeding up so much so that everyone comes to College half dead. Really, half dead. Many deadlines were given and I finally learnt how does it feel to rush to meet the deadline, cross the deadline, or be just on the dot. Of course, the feeling of the third one is the best. Haha.

So, in a short 2 months in NYJC, let's see what we've covered.

H2 Physics: 3 chapters

H2 Chem: 4th chapter ongoing

H2 Maths: 5 chapters

H2 Econs: 3rd chapter ongoing

H1 CL: 3 chapters

H1 PW: Finished one PI

H1 GP: The least intensive one, but with a not-so-patient teacher

Basically, all I could think about everyday is how to equate the net torque of quantity demanded for sodium chloride to the sum to infinity of the series.

Alright, and of course there was more than this.

Becoming an elect of the Student Council hasn't been very easy, I admit. Although I think it was supposed to be quite easy for me it turned out not to be so. Firstly, there was military style training pre-camp and during Council Camp in March holidays (20th-22nd March). Alright, for me that part was easy but we were really mentally stretched during camp. And it turned out at the end of camp we haven't done a single homework, lost our voices, even got fatigued and for me I fell slightly sick, but more importantly, we forged good relationships and camaradaie which will be very much useful in our Council journey. Then when school reopens we were having campaign and voting. I was the second to put a a poster at 6pm on Thursday 26/03. But I think my skills weren't very good in this area. Hmm. My posters flew all over the place.

-End of draft-

2. More College life
The education system has not been very nice to us. How about this. An average of 9 to 10 chapters per subject in like just, 18 weeks. And they're large chapters. Not those small small one with just a few pointers.

PW too. Haha I personally feel that I'm rather good and efficient in PW :D But it is taxing, as everyone understands. 4am nights are not favourable, but necessary, seriously.

It's all time management.

3. Mid Year Exams 2009
I must say I did rather decently, but I'm not happy!
Despite a BCDE/BD grades (after moderation) and 58 ranking points, I feel that I still could have done better, in everything. Try harder for Promos!

4. From NYJCian to Councillor.
Council Camp was rather fruitful, it was a different kind of regimented camp. Followed by nomination and without much difficulty I got elected, but fought rather hard for publicity.

After much hard work as elects, we're finally invested. As a Councillor, duites and responsibilities await, I know. And and, LEADERSHIP.

There an infinite number of things to say about, it's pointless trying to post everything.

5. Ultra Commitment
You see, I'm someone with a 1001 degree commitment levels.
(i) 4H2 Student
(ii) PW Group Leader
(iii) Student Councillor
(iv) Cadet Officer
(v) Peer Tutor
(vi) Coordinating 4H class outing
(vii) And many networks to maintain

2 weeks and counting

I removed part of the previous post, there's some information that I overlooked there =))
Main point is, people outside are trying hard to make ends meet, we are trying equally hard to make clock hands meet!
It has been a tough 2 weeks but 0919 managed to stick through it :) the pressure is now really coming! Quite eventful week, we love the planks and PE lessons. And Econs lectures and Chem practicals. Maths and Physics tutorials. PW and GP. And also the Chinese lessons. Everything, now, seems to fall perfectly in place with some imperfections here and there, but they're inevitable. Despite great fatigue I think we're getting the best out of JC? Still, managed to have lots of fun as a class, have lunch together but obviously not that frequent for dinner. We're all rushing for time. Btw, I decided to run for Council, everyone's joining some CCAs and we'll get even busier. Time is to be managed. 24 hours a day is always enough, with proper allocation of how much time to what activity.
And, that's for now. Post more later.

The stress and fatigue

Hmm. I'm (I think all of us) really starting to feel the stress of homework.
The first official study day and we have Chem, Maths and Phy tutorial homeworks.
PW looks very demanding.
Chem and Phy still appear humane.
Chinese sounds relaxed but serious.
GP requires discipline (really a lot of it).
Physics SPA looks exactly the same like O Level.
And lectures after lectures are tiring.
Maybe we still havent got used to it.
My stressful timetable:
www.nanyangjc.org/apps/timetable/09J1/0919.pdf
Oh, and speaking of them, we should count ourselves lucky that there's not much tension with 0918/0922 in the LT after 9 hours worth of lessons and lectures today.
Today's a long day, tomorrow will be about the same.
Okay, and that's about it.
And I'm off the scrape up the remaining tutorials. :)

Study=fail

Long long long long long time since I previously posted! Many events happened within this period of time. Wait, before I start, it's gonna be a long long long post. as long as how long I didn't post, goodness it's LONG!

Okay, we go in chronological order, okay?

Start from December.

First half of December, I was still in HQ NCC 56th Cadet Officers Course. Okay, fun and enriching course lah. I got a Course birthday surprise on 11th (my birthday of course). Yay! Haha thanks to the instructors. The course still ended on a high with our POP on 12th, we all got our Probation Ranks! Also abit emotional on POP Day lah, we, Syndicate 1 were going to part. Luckily no one cried. Haha. On another note, Central District was reshuffled. New DC, new TCO, new DS. Only person unchanged is CSO. Okay, DC discharged all 53rd and above on 13th. Okay now put aside HQ matters first.

After Central briefing on the morning of 13th, I went off to Macau straight. Straight means straight. Once I book out from AQC the next hour I was at Changi Airport.

Okay finally reached Macau once again. Yes, once again. Fyfi I'm now a Macau PR. Muahahaha. So basically in Macau just slacked the whole day and day by day. Then we decided to shift house. So we went to see a 35th floor unit at La Cite (just opposite our current La Baie Du Noble) but did not manage to move due to the insincerity of the owner. So in the end we moved on 27th to a 42nd floor unit. Yes, 42nd floor. Cool right? Haha. Though, this year's christmas was all about packing.

After that all we returned to Singapore on 30th Dec. The house (in SG) was under painting mode, till 4th Jan. So basically my liberty came only from 5th Jan onwards. It's a hectic but fruitful schedule:

5th: School training
Yeah, erm I was satisfied with the mock attack.

6th: Nothing (lol, styaed home)

7th: Orientation
Well done, we recruited 64 Sec Ones on preliminary.

8th: Hmm. Nothing much again, I packed up my room.

9th: I went HQ in the early afternoon, lol, to clarify BUC. Then in the evening, my mother's birthday surprise. Happy birthday Mom!

10th: Sent off my brother to NZ for Ex Thunder Warrior.

11th: Was a same, boring day at home besides I got my haircut! Lol.
Oh and yeah, my granduncle passed away, just past midnight.

12th: Results Day!!

Hmm. I basically screwed up my humanities and sciences to get L1R5 of 11 points (raw). And the most shocking part was, Chemistry was not used for my L1R5, when I have been quite constantly doing well in Chem in school! And btw, Idontlikethatcarolintanface.

13th: There was a school training so I went, after accompanying Faisal to ACJC open House which I was not even impressed at all.

14th: Trainfire at HQ NCC
No I didnt go for trainfire to release my emotions. Actually KaiLin called me at 2250 and asked me to replace Jeremy. So I went, since I havent been to any HQ event.
And basically the cadet's attitude SUCK, cadets from HIHS and Greendale Sec (although HIHS Specs were good assistants). There was also an armoury screw-up. But heard from Hezwan that my cadets were disciplined and responsive. Thanks for the praise anyway!

15th: The funeral for my granduncle. Coincidentally, it was also my aunt's birthday.

16th: Stayed at home and later got a new bed (with my mum) for my grandfather

17th: Hmm. And so I went with The Black Parade (Sundram, Cooberan, Faisal) to Yishun to watch Ai Villu, the tamil movie (according to them, a blockbuster featuring quite a number of stars).

18th was the normal sunday routine (NSR). Hahaha

And basically I'm going to skip till 30th Jan.
CNY was very much the same as previous years, boring visits and never-ending card games. Angpaos total was okay, I think.

And on the bright bright morning of 30th Jan, I checked my phone and saw Nanyang JC. At first I didnt like the posting. But throughout the weekend (some CNY party and relaxation with a stayover), I think I dissolved that thinking and brought an open mind to NYJC on 2 Feb.

According to Faisal I'm in OG33. So I checked the board again and yeah, I'm in 33. I reached school at 8am but assembly actually satrt at 8.30. So I walked arounf the campus and almost got lost. Then met up with the GESS people and proceeded to the hall. There are about 15-20 people from GESS in NYJC.
And on the very first day I got to know Chan Hong from Deyi Sec. He scored 10 points, triple science. Wow. Hmm, like I say, I screwwed up my humanities. If not I would have landed in SAJC or even AJC.

And my subject combination posted is Physics, Chemistry, Econs, Maths all at H2 Level.
And my class is 0919 or OG AlexFive.

After a week of academic orientation was CT Orientation this week. The theme was 'Madagascar', in case you wonder why is there Alex. Basically the most hated 'tribe' was Melman.
Enjoyed four days of games and mass dance, Sentosa 'escape', games and mass dance again followed by CCA Bazaar and finally wet games, mass dance, cheering competition and a Disco Night!

Okay. Now time for reflection.
0919 formed closed bonds and really made the best out of orientation. Although we may not be very good at cheering and games, the ultimate aim of orientation is to bond the class together right? At least we have a few insider jokes that no one else knows, and thats good, I think. And we have every lunch together and from Day 2, even dinner. I dont think many classes do that. Although we dont have a class tee unlike 0913 (they are just rich kids). The bonds can never be broken, but shirt can always be torn. Hmm. Okay. I think that's it.

And yesterday was GP Day. Some boring Get Ed seminars followed by an intra school talk on how to use the GC. And my angel havent written to me!

Oh yes! And happy Valentines Day! Today, btw, is also the second annivesary of this blog. Muahahaha.

Okay, thats all for now.

56th

I've been MIA for long. Right. I went to the 56th Cadet Officer's Course by HQ NCC. Haha. After I pass out I'll have thess bars below to screw people upside down. A bit of 'no life' seriously. Have to book in and book out everyday (good, I dont really prefer stay-in). But have to wake up early and may reach home late (but besides Monday dismissal times were mouth-watering). Nonetheless, we have all completed 28.57% of the course (counting by training days). So far, I would say this course isn't bad at all. Discipline is alright and I've somewhat bonded with my platoonmates already. Dont even have time to rest, so, have to go now.

Did you vote?

At last, the grand, majestic, reputable Great O is coming to an end. Some mixed feelings, I feel sad for my textbooks and worksheets. Lol. Anyway, left with 2 papers only. Two more hours worth of this trivial and pointless academic assessment system.

Faces of Barack Obama appeared in all headlines across the world yesterday afternoon, as the Democrat Presidential Nominee successfully made his way to White House, taking over Republican George W Bush, at the same time becoming the first black president of the states. "Change has come to America". So hopefully, this would stabilize the world's economy and everything else. Despite I despise USA, I cannot deny that they have great influence. Obama's first challenge is to clear up the mess Bush left behind.

And by organizing the class chalet, I'm getting more efficient by the day. Lol. Being a bit of thick skinned here, but can't help. Haha.

Went to Allcare yesterday to relax ahead of my studying today (but till now I have yet to start on anything). Managed to download the FLV converter, thanks to Vinc, and finally cut the last track. But till now I have yet to start on anything.

Liberty is dignity

12 more days, to 12 days of freedom, as of today.
Some final countdowns:
(2 days) SS Paper
(12 days) Last O Level Paper
(15 days) Grace's wedding :)
(17 days) Grad Nite
(21 days) Allcare Grad
(24 days) CDO Course!
Today was Allcare spring cleaning. Woke up early, and worked whole day. Free labour. Some jobs included wiping the floor, carrying tables and chairs, clearing backyard plants and washing the exterior. Was fatigued. Nonetheless, had dinner later with all.
Gonna get haircut tomorrow.
SS is in 2 days. I'm really very tired. Kind of lost motivation for O Level too. Can tell from the way I blog.
I dont think have anything else to say, temporarily, till my mood is better someday later :) That was a forced smile.

Half gone

Somehow, we managed to hang through for HALF of the Big O. O for Oreo, but after O Level.
Seven papers are DOWN and over with, indicating the total completion of Secondary School English and AMaths. Very quickly we'll have them ALL over and yeah! Well, I think these few days are my quite stress free besides the stress of keeping to schedule, which I really fail.
And now, may I cordially invite you, the reader, to my wedding ceremony with my 8th fiancee, Ms. Two Phy on Wednesday. Then it'll be Ms Two EMaths on Thursday. Actually after Thursday I'd have divorced with the sisters of the EMaths family. So actually, Thursday don't need to be too formal.

Slack some more...

So everyone is slowly reporting to Gen. Study for battle duty, against the mighty enemy called O. I'm not excluded, being an important officer in the regiment. No lah. Joking. Actually my only aim is my 8 points and that we will beat 4I in average L1R5 and MSG of the subjects we won them in Prelim. Simply, bring our Prelim glory over to O Levels.

I think in this crucial period I'm the only one out here posting crap, true? I devised a very 'nice' workplan that made me do practice papers average of 6 hours a day. Efficient? I can only say, I'm already 6 hours behind schedule, which is one day. Who could spare me 24 hours, I'll pay them $700 billion in return. Self service, you'll have to take all the cash from Henry Paulson yourself.

So actually have been studying quite well but not overcoming my complacency, I think? Occasional study sessions with Vin, Kz, and Zj are productive though. I think one of the most productive lah. I decided not to practice EL and CL Ppr one as I read them everyday. I think I wanna go JC now, not poly anymore. Also up for me after O's are a chain of fun events like my cousin's wedding, Allcare Grad then GESS Grad Nite followed by my much awaited CDO Course that made me wait for 4 years. I'm gonna come back to GESS with bars! Lol. Anyway, I feel it is good to continue contributing to the Corps.

Can go view the Chinese version if you want. I may be multi-lingual, but I don't know how to write Malay nor Tamil (I know some தமிழ், but they are too basic to compose a post).

I'm gonna cut down my time on the keyboard cos I'd have spend more time on paper and books.

ROD on 13 Oct, next Monday. I'm gonna miss my paper, pen, documents and attendance records. Nevertheless, they're all engraved in my hard disc in the form of .xls and .doc. I'll be elated to complete my final duty-a mediocre giving out photos on Monday.

***Lt. KKL, Control. Resume duty at 7pm. Over.***

***(Unwillingly) Roger.***

Get my arse off now. Bye.
